"note": "Not verified against the page. Laura Scuriatti’s chapter “Mina Loy’s Interrupted Communities” states that the Italian Pictures poems “were written in 1914, during Loy’s residence in Florence, and published in November of the same year in the short-lived avant-garde magazine The Trend, edited by Carl Van Vechten”, and the Mina Loy: Navigating the Avant-Garde project dates the sequence 1914 as well. No copy of that issue of The Trend is held here — it is not on the Internet Archive — so the issue, the page and whether all three parts of the sequence stood in it have not been checked. The text held here follows the 1923 Lunar Baedecker printing.",
